All in the family!
As you may expect, we love t-shirts in this house. The laundry baskets can attest to that! DH is also "in the biz" with several tee shirt shops. Probably the most well-known is Teesed.com.
So what's different? MommiesTees is hand-picked. I'm a little partial to what I see when I shop. I liked shopping on CafePress for the fam, but there's no filter on their marketplace and it can be a little "wild wild west" in there sometimes. So, I run through and snag my favorite designs while ignoring some of the more, ahem, risque stuff and I bring the best to you.
But that's me - picky. My food doesn't like to touch other food.
Teesed.com is all "him". Put it on the plate and he'll eat it, touching or not. It's everything you ever wanted and some things you didn't expect. Basically, it's every design available through CafePress' marketplace, only laid out in a different fashion. It's much easier to target in on a shop you like and get a little lost in some of your favorite niche markets.
So, take a little look-see!

Is it your day yet?
Oh, if they could only be 3 forever. That adorable collision of comprehension and confusion and language and mobility gave rise to the recent daily question, "Is it your day yet Mommy?".
We've worked hard enough, been lucky enough and blessed enough for me to be able to work from my kitchen table during naps and sleep and some autonomous play time. It isn't easy, but it isn't as hard as the Tuesdays and Thursdays when he goes to his awesome day school. Leaving him in the care of someone else, no matter how much we trust and know them, is the hardest part of the week. But there's always the picking up and heading straight to the frozen yogurt shop to look forward to!
In between, it's Thomas and Einsteins and puzzles and Lego/Mega blocks and cars and trains and our latest fascination, Sticky Stones! So while I do look forward to what DH and the little monster will pull off for Mother's Day, yes, it is my day yet!

New Earth Day! The mother of all Mother's Days!
Earth Day. It's the Mother of all Mother's Days. What is the best gift any mother can receive? The gift of time with her children.
So, spend some time with Mother Earth on April 22 and help teach your children a great lesson about how we care for those we love. Pick up some trash. Plant a tree. Make a statement. See how little trash you can produce by using fresh fruits and veggies. Go shopping and compare packaging variations to see which has more recycled content and which has the least packaging material. Think of ways to reuse packages like glass bottles. Baby food jars become great little organizers!
This Earth Day, let's all spend some time with Mother Earth. She's been good to us and given us our every need. Isn't it the least we can do to try to give back just a little bit?

Turn your pics into jigsaw puzzles!
If your little one is anything like mine, they LOOOOOOVE puzzles. AJ can spend 30 minutes engrossed in his favorite 24-piece jigsaw and he's starting on the 48-piece sizes.
We went looking for a way to print out some family photos on jigsaw pieces and came across a great website called Jigsaw2Order. We were so impressed that we have now partnered with them.
You can do puzzles of the family pet, your house or yard, a favorite toy or anything familiar to your child for hours of fun and education. The dexterity practice is fantastic for toddlers as is the mental workout of working out shapes and where they go.
Our next order is going to be a family photo collage to send to his grandparents as a gift!
See what they have to offer at the link below. I'm sure you will be amazed at the quality and very pleased with your purchase!

Are you a Mama for Obama?
What's the latest in baby fashion? Supporting your candidate of course! Some might consider it to be pushing a political ad, but others say it's nothing more than sharing your values with your kids. Check out some of these great designs!

Maternity apparel is here!
We've been bringing you some of the best maternity designs and funny pregnancy sayings for nearly a year now, with one big problem - no maternity apparel to put it on! So you've been making due (sorry, couldn't help it) with other shirt styles until "that time" when it's apparent that you're hiding something. :)
We're very happy to announce that our apparel provider, CafePress, now has maternity apparel! Our fav designers are busy as can be putting their top designs on the new apparel, so you may still see some things that aren't on maternity - but it will be soon!
If there's a specific design you like and you don't see it on maternity, just shoot us an email to info@mommiestees.com and we'll do our best to contact the design artist for you.
Thank you for telling your friends about our little shop. We've really grown over the last year and it's all been thanks to our great designers - and you!

Bad Blogger!
Oh, I've been a bad, bad blogger. December? Really? So much has happened in the last four months! AJ has turned 2. Two. Wow. It's still amazing to watch him grow every day. It seems like there's a new milestone every week. Two days ago he was mouthing the numbers one through ten with his "papa". OK, it was "un, doo, tee, poh, pie, ick, ay,tem." Who needs seven and nine anyway? And today? He smiled up at me after making a funny face and said "poop!" If you don't have kids, you won't possibly understand how absolutely cool that is. "Poop!"
On the shop side, I've neglected it as much as the blog. Seems CafePress changed the way they laid out their product page, and since we were pulling the shops into our layout for ease of use, it broke our shop. Since the first page of designs and the next page of products weren't affected, I didn't realize the problem for quite a while. That would explain the drop in sales, and is a much better reason than "does no one like me any more?!"
So, we're back up and running. With new designs on the way and new products to offer! You'll now find women's dark tees, long sleeves, v-necks and plus sizes! Still no maternity apparel, but we're still trying.
Thanks for putting up with the blog, the shop and me. Hope you like the new stuff!
